This album is the sound of a massive spiritual evolution between 2020 - 2024. I hope the energy of my journey can be of service to humanity. The release of this project coincides with the rollout of my creative studio, The Kizmet Experience. The videos and experiences I designed for Solar Sky all point to The Kizmet Experience. The majority of the project was mixed and sonically curated by MEGA (of The Milky Way and Digital Underground Next Generation) with some key engineering help from Mike Balot, Alex Gloworld and Nate Donmoyer. Written and recorded mostly between 2019 - 2022, and most of that in quarantine. House of the Red Solar Sky was inspired by fatherhood, the pandemic, many psychedelic excursions and ceremonies, nearly one thousand moonlit drives around Los Angeles and her beaches, hiking trails, my work with Stop LAPD Spying, my work as an entertainment marketing professional, my work with artificial intelligence, and my desire to communicate how it feels to begin to truly know oneself. For this project, I freed myself from the need for any external validation. It feels like Nature, in turn, treated me to collaborations with some of my personal heroes and most accomplished friends. The epic culmination of it all is what makes this very much Dragon, Vol. 2. If you haven’t heard Dragon, Vol. 1 (2012) it’s out there on streamers and on my bandcamp. Thanks for your time. THE NOW STORY
In the time since I created and have released the album, my life has changed drastically. I have been called on to speak up for artists in the AI space, I have gone full-time artist / researcher, and have had the fortune of being able to explore all the places my art can take me. The album even got a chance to shine on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
House of the Red Solar Sky is the catalyst that has helped shape a new reality for me. Special shoutouts to all the engineers and co-producers who helped fill out the sound (Chris Kaysch) and all my allies at LACAN, Virginia Tech, Howard University, Morehouse College, AI2030 and The Recording Academy.
